If you’re planning to use our Check Menu Mix Service rather than CDP-based Imports, please keep the following restrictions in mind:
- No Menu Mix after Posting: Menu Mix can only be imported into an open post period. If a period has been posted and there is missing Menu Mix data, the weekly period must be unposted prior to completing a successful Check Menu Mix post call.
- No Failure Log in Enterprise Manager: Failed Menu Mix calls posted via the Check Menu Mix API are not recorded in Enterprise Manager. The only record of failure is within your API call responses. All failures should be resolved prior to the weekly Post Date.
Tip: The most common failure is a missing PLU/SKU. To create a new PLU/SKU you would use the Recipe Enhanced API Service. - Undo & Reprocess Menu Mix: There are instances where a Menu Mix import is inaccurate or causes errors in depletion. While undoing Menu Mix in Enterprise Manager is supported, Reprocessing Menu Mix via the UI is not. To reprocess Menu Mix, simply repost the data via the Check Menu Mix API.
- Posting Restrictions: Using CDP-based imports, the Enterprise Manager failed-file log will restrict operators from posting. As there is no Menu Mix Failure Log in Enterprise Manager, there is no systematic restriction blocking a user from posting the week. Posting early while menu mix checks are missing could result in inaccurate depletion, negatively impacting current inventory on hand, Actual vs Theoretical Cost variances, and recommended order.
Note: Crunchtime highly recommends you utilize our API Consultancy Services when building a Customer-Managed POS integration to ensure a smooth and successful implementation.
