Ezurio RG1xx Gateway Setup (RG191 in North America)
High Level Steps
Overview: Complete these steps in order to configure your gateway:
- Gather gateway specific information from the back of the device (Gateway EUI & Ethernet MAC)
- Factory reset gateway if reconfiguring a previously configured device (skip for new devices)
- Connect gateway to ethernet (or alternatively, connect via the gateway's self-broadcast WiFi network)
- Access gateway's web interface through local address (https://rg1xx29542D.local) via a laptop on the same network
- Update/confirm gateway firmware
- Set LoRa preset to "Netmore DEV - US" if gateway firmware version has been updated
- Configure Remote Management settings
- Confirm gateway is connected to Zenput
Getting Started
|
The back of the Ezurio RG1xx gateway contains three barcodes. The bottom-left barcode contains the two parameters necessary for configuration:
|
Connecting to the Gateway
If the gateway is connected to ethernet and is on the same network as the device being used to execute the configuration steps, the local web configuration can be accessed by visiting https://rg1xx298128.local/ - the domain consists of "rg1xx" and the last six (6) characters of the Ethernet MAC Address, followed by the domain suffix ".local".
WiFi Connection Method: When ethernet is not a viable connection method, follow these steps to connect to the gateway's self-broadcast WiFi network:
- Press and hold the user button for 7 seconds (see diagram below)
- From a wireless device, initiate a scan of available WiFi networks
- Connect to the SSID that matches
rg1xx298128- where characters following "rg1xx" match the last six (6) characters of the Ethernet MAC address - The WPA2 password is the same as the SSID:
rg1xx298128 - Once connected, navigate to the local web configuration at

|
|
LoRa Configuration
By default, the gateway's LoRa configuration will be disabled or configured with the semtech forwarder.
|
|
|
Remote Management Configuration
Laird gateways operate on a TR-069 protocol - this provides the capability to remotely manage and configure the devices.
Update the following settings:
|
Gateway Factory Reset
If a factory reset is required, the device can be restored to its original state by completing the following steps:
- Hold the user button while power is applied OR hold the user button while you press the reset button
- Continue to hold the user button until all the LEDs on the top begin to flash
- Once the LEDs start flashing, release the user button
- The factory defaults are applied, the gateway reboots, and it is ready to use
Senet Portal Gateway Troubleshooting
Follow these steps if your gateway is having issues connecting to LoRa and showing offline in Senet.
