This article provides instructions on how to troubleshoot an invalid login attempt error message with NetSuite
How to troubleshoot the invalid login attempt error in NetSuite
Invalid login attempt errors are typically caused by one of three things in NetSuite.
- The integration is not enabled
- The access token has been revoked
- The role does not have the right permissions
Follow the steps in the sections below to troubleshoot each of these issues.
Check the integration is enabled
In NetSuite, go to Setup → Integration → Manage Integrations and then confirm the following:
- Integration record we are using exists and is enabled.
- Token-Based Authentication is checked.
Confirm the access token is active
In NetSuite, go to Setup → Users/Roles → Access Tokens and confirm our token exists and is not revoked.
Review the role permissions are correct
In NetSuite, identify the role being used for the access token in the Setup → Users/Roles → Manage Roles menu.
After you know the role, go to Permissions → Setup and verify the role has the following options enabled.
- Web Services: Full Access
- Log in using Access Tokens: Checked
- User Access Tokens: Full Access
