| Follow-up actions turn every issue into a defined, trackable task instantly. Each follow-up is anchored to the exact form, photo, task, or project where the issue was identified, so leaders can correlate corrections back to their original source, coach underperforming stores, and confirm that issues are actually fixed. In this article we'll walk through how to enable follow-up actions on a form, how to create one during a submission, and how to track follow-up actions across your locations. |

About follow-up actions
Follow-up actions are corrective tasks that can be added to any task, photo, form, or project at the moment an issue is identified - not just during formal audits. Every follow-up action is permanently linked to its source, so you can trace exactly which question, photo, or check the correction came from.
Use follow-up actions to:
- Flag specific issues found during a form submission or task review
- Coach underperforming stores by attaching clear, role-specific corrections
- Include instructional photos that show employees exactly how to resolve the issue
- Set deadlines and assign to specific roles or locations so accountability is clear
- Confirm that an issue was actually fixed—not just marked complete

Create a follow-up action
Anyone who can submit a form can create a follow-up action - as long as the form has follow-up actions enabled. Follow-ups can be created from the web app (when previewing a form, or when viewing a submission under Reports) or the mobile app when filling out a form.
From the mobile app:

Track follow-up actions
All follow-up actions appear in the Follow-up actions menu in Ops Execution, giving above-store leaders and franchise business coaches (FBCs) a single place to monitor corrective work across locations.

FAQs
Who can create a follow-up action?
Anyone who can submit a form can create a follow-up action during submission - the form just needs to have follow-up actions enabled by an admin or form editor.
What's the difference between follow-up actions and triggers?
Triggers are pre-programmed to fire automatically in response to specific answers or behaviors (for example, a failed temperature reading). Follow-up actions are added in the moment by the person submitting the form, to address any issue that wasn't already captured by a trigger. They work well together.
What types of follow-up actions are supported in this release?
In this first release, all follow-up actions are simple tasks - either text-based or photo-based. They can be assigned to a role and location, with a deadline.
Can I add a follow-up action to any form?
Follow-up actions can be added to any form that has them enabled. To enable follow-up actions on a form, edit the form, go to Configure, and check 'Allow users to assign follow-up actions on completion'.
Are follow-up actions available on mobile?
Yes. Follow-up actions can be created and managed on both the web and mobile apps, so leaders can act on issues whether they're in-store on a tablet or working remotely on a laptop.
Where can I see all the follow-up actions across my locations?
All follow-up actions appear in the Follow-up actions menu in Ops Execution. From there, you can filter by location, view status, and track completion rates.
