While users can reset their own passwords by following these self-service instructions, there are times when you may need to reset a password on their behalf to provide faster support. |

Please note:
- When you reset a user's password, anyone currently logged in with the old password will be automatically logged out
- New users must accept their invitation before you can change their password
- You must access Zenput from a desktop computer to reset passwords
Set a specific password for a user
Use this method when you want to set a specific password for the user and share it with them directly. Also, use this if a user gets an error that they have used up their login attempts (more than 10 unsuccessful attempts were made and it's not allowing them to reset the password)

Password requirements:
- Minimum length: 8 characters
- Maximum length: 128 characters
- Restricted characters: Passwords cannot contain consecutive question marks (??)
Note: If a password contains consecutive question marks, users will see a "Something went wrong" error message.
Send a password reset link to a user
Use this method when you want the user to choose their own new password. They will receive a secure reset link via email.
