This knowledge base (KB) article provides instructions for adjusting user roles and location-specific permissions within the Admin Panel.
If your responsibilities involve managing one or more locations, you may need an existing administrator to adjust your visibility and permissions. You should contact either a Supervisor for those locations or the Squad Admin for your organization.
User to Location Admin
An existing Location Admin for the relevant location(s) must adjust your visibility and permissions to make you a Location Admin.
The Location Admin will follow these steps:
- Go to the Admin Tab.
- Select Edit User.
- Go to Set Role and change the role to "Location Admin".
- Select the specific locations for your new responsibilities.
- Click Save.
Note: If the locations you need access to are outside the group of locations the current Location Admin manages, you will need to connect with a Squad Admin.
Location Admin of a Single Location to a Location Admin for Multiple Locations
If you are upgrading your role from managing a single location to managing more than one location, you should connect with a Squad Admin for your organization. Squad Admins have visibility for all locations and users within a squad and can assign you to any number of locations.
The Squad Admin will follow these steps:
- Find your account in the Admin tab (under Users).
- Select Edit User.
- Check the boxes next to the locations you will be supervising.
- Click Save (at the bottom of the profile page).
Note: Adding locations to your reports does not require an adjustment of your role.
Location Admin to Squad Admin
The only role that can assign a Squad Admin is another existing Squad Admin within that squad.
If you are being elevated to a Squad Admin, please contact the Squad Admin for your locations to make those adjustments.
The Squad Admin will follow these steps:
- Adjust your role to "Squad Admin".
-
Select the first check box under the role dropdown to assign all locations.
-
Click Save.
