Thank you for your interest in Squadle text alerts. This guide provides steps to verify that your account is correctly set up to receive SMS notifications. If you are not receiving alerts for specific stores or are not receiving any alerts at all, please review the following sections.
1. The SMS Alert Option is Unavailable (Greyed Out)
If the SMS option is grayed out and you are unable to activate SMS alerts, this indicates that a valid mobile number is not yet associated with your user account.
Resolution Steps:
- Navigate to the top section of your user profile.
- Locate the section designated for adding a valid mobile number in the top heading.
- Enter your mobile number and save the profile changes.
Once this action is complete, the option to enable SMS notifications will become available.
If you go back to the top of your profile, there is a section in the top heading where you can add a valid mobile number.
Once completed, the option to add SMS notifications will become available!
2. Switching from Email to Mobile Completion Alerts
If you are currently receiving email completion alerts but would prefer to receive them on your mobile device via text, you must update your notification preferences.
Resolution Steps:
- Go to the Completion Alert section of your user profile.
- Deselect the email notification option.
- Select the SMS notification option.
- Ensure that you have accepted the SMS terms and conditions at the bottom of your profile (detailed in the next section).
3. Account is Set Up, But Alerts Are Not Being Received
If you have confirmed that your mobile number is added and SMS is selected for your desired locations and alert types, the final step is to grant the system permission to send alerts to your device.
Our system requires explicit consent to send text messages. This is managed through a consent setting at the bottom of your user profile.
Final Resolution Step: Granting Consent
- Scroll to the very bottom of your user profile.
- Locate the disclaimer and the option to accept the terms and conditions for receiving completion alerts on your mobile device.
- Select the "Consent" option to accept these terms.
- Be sure to save these changes to your user account.
