Differences in On Hand quantities between the Stock Card and the Master Order screen in Crunchtime Inventory are typically due to storage location preferences or data timing.
How storage location preferences affect On Hand quantities
Storage location preferences configure how a location assigns, tracks, and organizes inventory across storage slots. You can learn more about storage locations in Enterprise Manager WebHelp.
- Stock Card: Exclusively displays Beginning and On Hand quantities for Central Storage locations. It does not include items stored in Customer or secondary storage areas.
- Master Order Detail Screen: The storage locations included in the Master Order’s On Hand calculation are driven by your system configuration under: Setup > Corporate > Preferences > Purchasing > On-Hand Includes
Storage preferences for the Master Order Detail Screen
The available storage preference options for the Master Order Detail Screen are:
- Central: Includes Central Storage only. When this option is selected, the quantities on both screens match.
- Customer: Includes Customer Storage only.
- Both: Combines inventory from both Central and Customer Storage locations.
How data timing affects On Hand quantities
Discrepancies can also result from the difference between viewing live versus saved inventory data:
- Stock Card: Always displays real-time, perpetual inventory balances when retrieved or refreshed.
- Master Order: A saved Master Order displays a static snapshot of the on-hand quantities taken at the time the order was initially generated or retrieved; it does not dynamically recalculate if subsequent inventory transactions occur.
