Actual/Theoretical Cost Report - Reducing Time It Takes to Pull

If the A/T Cost Report is slow to run, it may be for the following reason: Corporate has enabled functionality that displays optional costing views on the drill-down screens in these reports:

• Actual Cost
• Actual / Theoretical Cost
• Consolidated Actual / Theoretical Cost

This allows users to see component-level costs for “A/T Cost” Recipes and recipe-level costs for non- 'A/T Cost' Recipes. When this permission is enabled, a lot of additional data must be retrieved and calculated before the report populates.

To reduce the report retrieval time, turn this feature off, as follows:

1. Log in to Enterprise Manager / EM Web.
2. Under Setup >> Corporate >> Preferences.
3. On the General tab, disable the check box titled 'Allow access to Component and Recipe-level cost data in A/T Cost Report'

Disabling this preference does not change the quality of data retrieved by your users.
