At Zenput, we understand that having access to your operational data is critical. Whether you are running reports or archiving historical records, we want to ensure you have the information you need.
However, to ensure the Zenput platform remains fast, secure, and reliable for all our users, we have strict guidelines regarding how data is accessed and exported.
Automated Scraping
The use of automated scripts, "bots," web crawlers, or third-party scraping software to extract data from the Zenput web or mobile application is strictly prohibited.
Why do we have this policy?
Performance: Automated scraping creates an unnatural spike in traffic (often thousands of requests per minute). This can degrade system performance, causing slow load times or outages for your teammates and other Zenput customers.
Security: To protect the integrity of our platform, our security systems automatically flag and block IP addresses that exhibit non-human behavior.
Data Integrity: Scraping "front-end" data can often result in incomplete or unformatted records compared to a proper export.
The Correct Way to Export Your Data
If you need to extract large volumes of data (e.g., Task completion history, Form submissions, or users/locations), please do not use external scripts. Instead, use the approved methods provided within the platform:
Standard Exports: Use the "Export Excel" buttons found on your submissions/users/locations screens for standard data retrieval. You can find more information here: Zenput Reports
Zenput API: For high-volume or programmatic access, please utilize the official Zenput API. This ensures your data request is handled safely without triggering security blocks.
Support Request: If you need a bulk export of historical data that exceeds the limits of our standard reporting tools, please contact our Support Team. We can make historical data available on your account at your request.
Note: Continued use of unauthorized scraping tools violates our Terms of Service and may result in the immediate suspension of account access to preserve platform stability.
