Smarter sensor updates for Crunchtime Temp Monitoring
We’ve updated the sensor status table in Crunchtime Temp Monitoring to make it easier to quickly identify offline or underperforming sensors.
Sensors are now grouped by status, with online sensors displayed first, followed by offline and disabled sensors. Gateways will appear after sensors within each status category for a more organized view.
Calculate ingredient expiration dates based on time
Crunchtime Labels customers can now set more precise ingredient expiration dates using both date and time-based calculations.
New options within the Calculated Date expiration setting allow users to configure expiration timing by hours or minutes.
To use this feature, navigate to Ingredients and select Edit. Under Expiration Date Configuration, scroll to Type and choose Calculated Date. From there, use the dropdown menu to select minutes or hours and enter the desired expiration settings.
Built-in training for better execution
With Ops Execution’s new just-in-time training, you can attach quick how-to videos or images to any form field so teams can follow the right process every time - no extra training required.
The system supports any file up to 100MB.

Here’s what you need to know about how follow-up actions work:
- Add follow-up actions to any task, photo, form, or project
- Use follow-up actions to flag specific issues or as a tool to coach underperforming stores
- Include instructional photos to guide issue resolution
- Assign follow-ups actions directly to a specific role and store location with specific deadline to ensure the issue is fixed correctly
- Easily track the status of each follow-up action under “tasks” in the main Ops Execution menu

- Connecting images to business metrics to drive better operational insights
- Analyzing photo metadata to identify pencil whipping
- Running photos through AI or external APIs for compliance validation
To get started with streaming with photos, customers will need to set up an S3 bucket on AWS.

Introducing the new all-in-one project report
Getting the project data you need just got a lot easier. Our new comprehensive project report combines the capabilities of several project reports into one unified view – with powerful new filters and visibility settings to let you dial in on the data you want.
Here’s what you can expect:
- Choose which projects you want to analyze. Analyze one project, a select group, or all of them.
- Zero in on exactly what you need. Filter project data by task, user, location, and date, so you can answer questions fast without exporting or stitching info together.
- Control who sees what data. Customize what data report recipients see through visibility filters, which shares only necessary data with certain groups.
Reactivate users
Manage users faster with new filters and search functionality. You can now filter users by their status (Active/Deactivated), and reactivate them without contacting support.
Check out other enhancements by going to your Users page, or by going to the article on Users: Create, Invite, Edit, Delete, Reactivate.

Transform your reporting with two brand-new data products
Zenput is entering a new era in data and analytics capabilities with the introduction of Crunchtime Insights and Crunchtime Data Streaming.
What’s Crunchtime Insights?
Gain deeper insights from your data with Crunchtime Insights, a data visualization and analysis tool. With Crunchtime Insights, you don’t need a dedicated analytics team to get more insights from your data.
This tool has a dedicated Task & Projects Completion template that makes it easy to get started analyzing your data. Plus, data can be easily customized and cut so you can quickly and easily see what’s happening in your operation.
What’s Crunchtime Data Streaming?
Crunchtime Data Streaming lets you access your raw Zenput data in one place where it can be easily pulled into your preferred BI tools and combined with non-Crunchtime data for deeper insight into your operational performance.
Crunchtime streams all business-relevant data to your Snowflake warehouse. Zenput customers interested in Data Streaming will need:
- Their own Snowflake warehouse
- A tech team able to support the warehouse and its upkeep
To learn more about what these two data products can do for your organization, reach out to Customer Success.
Set your temperature preference by user
You can now choose your temperature scale – Fahrenheit or Celsius – right in Zenput.
This new feature has two big perks:
- Users who work in a location with a different local temperature scale will be able to more easily capture food and fridge temps with no conversion needed.
- Users will also be able to view all recorded temperatures in their preferred temperature scale, even if the data was originally recorded in a different scale.
How to set up your temperature preference
This new feature is a user setting. Navigate to your profile settings – Temperature Units – and choose Fahrenheit or Celsius.
September 2025 updates
API endpoints for calendar events
We’ve released three customer-facing endpoints to help teams retrieve and manage operating hours and other calendar events via the API:
- Retrieve Company's Calendar Events - Retrieve all calendar events that are available in a company.
- Retrieve Location's Calendar Events - Retrieve all calendar events that are available in a location.
- Update Location's Calendar Events - Update hours associated with calendar events.
If a calendar event already exists at a location, the update endpoint above can be used to adjust the time. This makes it much easier for teams with frequently changing hours to update calendar events automatically through the API instead of manually
