When to use the bulk importer
The bulk task importer is ideal for these scenarios:
- Adding a list of 10 or more tasks at once
- Assigning multiple tasks to different locations simultaneously
- Streamlining repetitive task assignment processes
CSV template structure
Each column in your CSV template serves a specific purpose. Here's what you need to include:
Email (Task receiver email)*
| The email address of the location or user the task will be assigned to. This is useful when you want to send completed submissions directly to a location. |
External Location ID (External Key)*
Each location has a unique external key that identifies it in the system. This is how tasks are assigned to specific locations during the upload process.
To find your location external keys:
- Go to 'Locations'
- Click the "Export" button in the top right corner
- You'll receive an email with a list of all your locations and their external keys
Date tasks are due*
The due date for the tasks. For best results, use the same due date for all tasks in a single upload.
Task Type (form, basic, photo)*
Specify the type of task you want to assign:
|
Form ID (if using form type task)*
If you're assigning a form task, you'll need the form ID. You can find this in the URL bar when viewing the form in Form Builder.
Task Title (if using basic or photo-type task)*
| The name you want to give your task. This is required for basic and photo tasks. |
Task Description
|
Optional field for instructions or a description of the task to be completed.
