Understanding how to properly start and complete tasks is essential for accurate project tracking in Zenput. When tasks aren't started correctly, they may appear as missed even if completed, affecting project completion metrics. You'll then get questions like "Why is a task appearing missed when it has been completed?"
This guide covers the correct methods for completing tasks, how to verify if submissions are tied to projects, and how to identify potential issues with task completion. |

Where to Start Tasks for Project Completion
Tasks should only be started from 'Recurring' or 'Tasks' to ensure they count toward project completion.
✅ Correct: Start from 'Recurring' or 'Tasks' These are the only locations where starting a task will ensure it counts toward project completion. |
❌ Incorrect Ways to Start Tasks
Starting from 'My Forms' Tasks started using 'My Forms' will not be counted toward project completion unless Allow users to complete tasks for others has been enabled. 'My Forms' should only be used for ad-hoc forms that aren't required daily or tied to a project. |
Completing from 'Drafts' 'Drafts' are used to save progress on forms to be completed later. If you complete a draft that isn't tied to the current open task, it will not count toward project completion and will appear red in the recurring view. |
